An Excellent Energy Solution

Is the investment in wind power economically profitable?

There are many benefits in powering your home or small business with a small wind system. Your system can help protect you from electricity price spikes, brownounts, rolling blackouts, and other grid related reliability and supply security issues. The length of the payback period (or, the time it takes to "break even") depends on the wind resource at your site, power provider electricity rates, and available financing and incentives (such as tax credits and net metering). The wind system will usually recoup its investment through utility savings within 4-5 years after this period , the electricity it produces will be virtually free. Compared to purchasing utility power, a wind system can be a good investment because your money goes to increasing the value of your home rather than just paying for a service. Small wind turbines (ranging in size from 200 watts to 20 kW) are often the least expensive source of power for remote sites that are not connected to the utility system.

Some countries offer incentive investment programs that can cover as much as 60% of the expense of the SWG
